There are some classic stories here and a few that needed a little more polish. I felt like I dragged my body through the book. Others are absorbed in their work to the detriment of the living people around them. In any case, Ray was sure as heck prescient. I picked this book up at the beginning of the year. And Vonnegut never breaks this rule in any of his stories. As he describes himself, writing is the process of making one’s soul grow and that aim comes through here.
